The Sheep Meadow Press
and its founder and publisher
Stanley Moss

Founded in 1976 by the poet and art dealer Stanely Moss, the independent Riverdale-based Sheep Meadow Press has achieved singular distinction publishing the likes of Yehuda Amichai, Fernando Pessoa, Paul Celan, Umberto Saba, Miguel Hernandez, Federico Garcia Lorca, Roberto Longhi, and Hans Magnus Enzensberger, along with a brace of distinguished contemporary American poets.

For this celebratory evening, Breyten Breytenbach, Peter Cole, Tory Dent, Edward Field, Cleopatra Mathis, Christopher Middleton, and Aharon Shabtai will read from their own work and that of several of the Press’s authors. And Lawrence Weschler will engage Mr. Moss in a brief conversation.
